Please read and keep the instructions that come with every Le Chic Beauty product. If the manual says something stricter than this page, follow the manual.

Heated hair tools

  • Heated tools get very hot. Keep plates, barrels, combs and nozzles away from your skin, scalp, ears, face and eyes. Rest the tool on a heat-resistant surface, never leave it switched on unattended, and let it cool fully before putting it away.
  • Keep away from water. Never use, leave or charge a corded tool near a bath, shower, sink or pool, and never use it with wet hands. If a plugged-in tool falls into water, don't reach for it: unplug it first, and don't use it again.
  • Keep away from children and pets. Store tools out of their reach, including while the tool cools down.
  • Use a heat protectant and start on the lowest setting that works for your hair, especially on fine, thin, damaged, bleached or chemically treated hair. Don't hold heat on one section for long.
  • Cords and voltage. Don't wrap the cord tightly around a hot tool, and stop using a tool with a frayed, cut or damaged cord or plug. Use the tool only at the voltage on its label. Don't use a voltage converter with a heated tool.
  • Stop immediately if a tool sparks, smokes, smells of burning, makes unusual noises, overheats, or causes pain or a burn. Unplug it and contact us.
  • Anyone with reduced feeling in the scalp or hands, or a condition that affects heat sensitivity, should take extra care and check with a doctor if unsure.

Hair care products

  • Patch-test every new product. Apply a small amount behind the ear or on the inner elbow and wait 24 hours. Don't use it if redness, itching, burning or swelling appears.
  • For external use only. Avoid the eyes; if product gets in the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Don't apply to a broken, irritated, sunburned or infected scalp.
  • If you have allergies, check the full ingredient list on the product page and the packaging.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under a doctor's care, using prescription scalp or hair-loss treatments, or have a scalp condition, check with your doctor before use.
  • Some oils and styling products are flammable. Keep them away from open flames.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

If you have a reaction, stop using the product, rinse with cool water, and speak to a doctor or pharmacist. Seek urgent medical help for severe symptoms.
